Abstract  Based on the "3D" framework theory of new economic geography and combining with the reality of tourism economy, this paper proposes a "T-3D" system of tourism space economy and builds a "T-3D" measurement model of tourism economy space. Described and analysed the T-3D feature of the tourism economic spatial in Yangtze River Delta region using the analysis softwares like ArcGIS, SPSS and so on. The T-3D system interprets the tourism economic space density, distance and division with tourism economic geographic concentration, time distance and contact strength. The density of the new economic geography is measured by the density of multipurpose land usually. Based on the relevant measurement index, this paper uses the geographic concentration of tourism economy to measure the spatial density of tourism economy. The results show that:The spatial distribution of tourism economy in the cities in the Yangtze River Delta is obviously different in spatial distribution, with significant differences in spatial distribution, showing the distribution characteristics of "Southern sparse and densely distributed"; the spatial distribution of tourism economy in the Yangtze River Delta is generally superior; near, with little difference, presenting the characteristics of "core-periphery"; the spatial integration of tourism economy shows the three pillars in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou, showing the characteristics of regional tourism development with "one core and two wings".
